Strutts Community Centre was again, one of the main venues for the hugely popular Arts Trail. This year was even more significant in terms of community involvement as a result of the many cancelled and postponed events due to covid.
Artists and creative folk took over several rooms in the building with a wide range of items including textiles, ceramics, jewellery and many forms of artwork. We were also involved in the MOO trail, where visitors were invited to find five cow images displayed around town, decorated by the community. This was a new event for this year reflecting the Belper MOO – the globally acclaimed, unique, two minute, nightly mooing activity that many Belper folk took part in during the lockdown.
Volunteers from Belper Strutts Society provided refreshments on both days and it was fantastic to see the building return to its familiar busy and noisy state!
