The Hall has pride of place in our community centre and is the hub of the whole building. With high ceilings, balcony and feature windows, the Hall oozes character. Complete with curtains, PA system, theatre style lighting and hearing loop on request, the hall is fully accessible and can accommodate a range of configurations to suit all requirements.
The bust of our benefactor George Herbert Strutt proudly watches over all activities from one end, his gaze directed toward our cherished war memorial and fireplace at the other. Magnificent award boards display past scholarship achievements of past pupils on all surrounding walls. The floor is parquet flooring making the Hall suitable for drama productions, shows, exhibitions, large meetings, games and dancingamongst many options. It also has a projection screen and bar and catering facilities adjacent.
Peer over the iron balustrade of the balcony and imagine all the many activities the Hall has witnessed and if you try hard, you might even hear echoes of the schools song sung by Strutty Bangers during many an assembly!
